Learning Resources for School Closure

Dear parents and carers

In the event that we have to close the school either fully or partially, the learning resources below should be used at home. In addition, there are online resources available for parents and children to use on our Children's Zone webpage which can be reached by clicking here.

Questions related to work or completed work can be sent to the following email addresses. These will be answered by the class representative/teacher:

Below you will find some assemblies that have been sent for us to share with you. They are presented by Joanne Gaunt, who some of the children will recognise as one of our regular visitors into school for assemblies.   Any feedback would be welcomed so that I can feedback to Impact who have sent them to us.   Thank you. Mrs Hulbert
In addition to the assemblies for sharing, here are some singing sessions with Joanne that the younger children will enjoy.  Some of the children will remember her coming in to sing with them when they were in Reception.   Sing along with Jo and her guitar and enjoy!

Children with SEND (and all others too)

The National Autistic Society have some very useful resources for children with Autism that explain about keeping away from other people, staying at home, protecting people (shielding), keeping children entertained, managing anxiety etc. They have ideas for social stories and much, much more to help explain Corona virus to your children It is well worth a visit for ALL children not just those with SEND. They even have virtual tours of museums!

Here are some websites that may be useful to you for Speech and Language therapy resources:

This is a general webiste for support:

Also have a look at this government document which contains information and links to other useful websites for resources.   This will be useful for everyone.

For further guidance on aspects of coping with Corona virus and the Lockdown, learning at home, keeping children safe, coping with behaviour, separated parents and working at home - visit  they have lots of information and ideas for parents and carers.

I have also attached a list of services that can help if you need further support whilst at home. This list of services is from Central Beds and is fairly comprehensive so do have a look and see if anything can be of help to you and your families at this difficult time.

If your child was one of the children receiving SMILE support before the school closure and you feel you would like some further support or advice for them we are now able to offer an email contact with Mrs Guildford so that you can ask for advice and so that your child can continue to have some contact with her. She will be able to offer advice, ideas and support.
